Velma Brewer Goss passed away January 2, 2016 at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital surrounded by many of her loving family.
Velma was born to Luther and Allie Brewer on November 26, 1932. She graduated from Drew High School in Drew, Mississippi. She was retired from Staplcotn Compress and Warehouse where she worked for 30 years. She recently stepped down from her secretarial duties at Greenwood Church of God where she was a member for over 50 years. She was a well loved Adult Sunday School teacher and the Choir director for many years.
She was predeceased by husband of 55 years, W.K Goss, Sr. and a son Terry Goss.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Goss(Trellie), Randy Goss(Debra) and a daughter, Vicky Goss Patridge(William). She leaves 8 grandchildren, Judy Goss Crowder, Trent Harrison(Keely), Terry Goss, Billy Goss,III(Darla), Ashley Goss Mills(Chris), Emily Patridge, Suzanne Patridge Shaw(Chris), John Patridge(Tracy). She has 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Velma leaves 8 brothers and 5 sisters, and many, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 1:00 at the Greenwood Church of God. Visitation will
be from 11:00 until the time of the service.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
