Virginia Harden Brewer, a loving mother and grandmother, died on Monday, June 17, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family after complications from liver cancer. She was a longtime office manager for Dr. Kenneth L. Hines for over 30 years.  She was 69 years old.

Funeral services will be at 12pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where she was a member.

Ms. Brewer, who was born in Helena, AR, has lived in Greenwood for over 60 years.  She graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor's degree in business and was a founding member of the Kappa Delta Sorority.  She has been a member and past president of Altrusa Civic Club for many years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther James Harden and Joanne Muffoletto Harden, both of Greenwood.

Survivors include her three daughters, Joanne Brewer Taylor "Jody" (Charlie) of Overland Park, Kansas, Jennifer Brewer Maranto (Matt) of Greenville, Mississippi, and Clair Brewer Jenkins (Daniel) of Greenwood, Mississippi, and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Father Sanchez will officiate   Pallbearers will be Charlie Taylor, Matt Maranto, Daniel Jenkins, Chip Ford, Phil Ellis, and Matt Livingston. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Kenneth Hines, Dr. Henry Flautt, and Dr. Syed Rafique.

Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
