Virginia Pearl Adcock Clark, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer.  Surrounded by her family and friends, she was peacefully ushered into her Heavenly Father's presence.   Virginia was born in Holmes County, MS, on May 2, 1942 to Ellis Curvin and Anna Lee Adcock.  After finishing high school at Cruger, MS, she completed business college in Jackson, MS, and married Carl F. Clark on January 1, 1963.   She then became a lifelong resident of Greenwood, working side by side in her husband's business, Clark Roofing, while raising her three children.  She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for many years and served in many roles there including teaching Sunday school, discipleship training, and serving on various committees in the church.  Lovingly known as "Pete" to her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and hosts of neighborhood children through the years, she was faithful to keep the "candy drawer" full at all times.   She loved to decorate for Christmas and loved a good game of rook or dominoes as long as no one was cheating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Hoyle Adcock, Jimmy Adcock and Roy Adcock.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years Carl F. Clark; son, Carl Franklin Clark, Jr. (Ellen) of Nashville, TN; daughters, Carla Clark Robertson (Russell)  and Karen Clark (Larry Myers) of Greenwood, MS; grandchildren, Terry Toole (Bethany) of Greenwood, MS, Thomas Toole (Shelby) of New Albany, MS, Christian Fortenberry (Brooks) of Brandon, MS, Anna Mills (Jarrett) of Holcomb, MS, and Martha Clark Robertson of Greenwood, MS; sister, Mildred Clark (David) of Greenwood, MS; two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022,  at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenwood from 8:30-10:00 a.m. with services immediately following the visitation.  Interment will be in the North MS Veterans Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS.  Pall Bearers will be: Randy Clark, Bobby Clark, Wayne Clark, Johnny Clark, Keith Clark, Randle Clark, Ryan Clark and Skipper Adcock.  Honorary Pall Bearers will be: Shane Clark, Ronald David Clark, KC Clark, Blaine Clark and Danny Clark.
