Wanda Lucille Sproles, 80, of Greenwood, Mississippi, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sproles was born on December 18, 1938 to the late Annie Lena Landers and Jimmy Ruben Greene and was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She had a heart of gold and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Wilson Sproles Jr; daughter, Tammy Lucille Sproles; great grand-daughter, Charli Gardner; three brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Johnny Sproles; daughter, Nila Gardner (Bud) of Greenwood, MS; grandchildren, Wilson Gardner (Holley) of Starkville, MS, Matthew Gardner (Mandi) of Water Valley, MS, and Kylie Wilkerson (Ben) of Oxford, MS; brother, Sidney Greene of Nesbit, MS; sisters, Paula Williams of Jackson, MS, and Marsha Sumpter of Arkansas; and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. Bro. Dennis McKay will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Gardner, Wilson Gardner, Ben Wilkerson, Gib Sproles, Bob Givens, and Bud Gardner. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Carroll County.
