Obituary

Willia "Faye" Coggins Gwin,75 of Greenwood died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Indywood Glen Personal Care. Visitation will be 2p.m. to 3p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 3p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Wilson & Knight Chapel. Rev. Peter Gray will officiate.
Mrs. Gwin was born on January 24, 1938, in Baldwin, MS passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2013 in Greenwood, MS. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Arnold "Bo" Gwin. Faye was a native of Baldwin, MS who attended NMJC and worked in the fifth circuit court system for Judge Clayton. She subsequently worked for Bo as his legal secretary for 30 years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother. She was an avid fan of horses, dogs and all of God's creatures. There was never an animal who heard her distinctive voice that didn't wag a tail. Faye is also preceded in death by her parents Eva McCary and R.V. Coggins of Baldwin, MS.
She is survived by her four stepchildren, Melissa Gwin Pedron, of Elizabethtown, KY, Michael O. Gwin, of Jackson, MS, Elizabeth Prestidge Gwin "Betsy" Burrus, of Nashville, TN and Christopher Green Gwin, of Atlanta, GA.; and 9 step-grand children. Andrew Conway Pedron, Thomas Pedron, Stephen Pedron, Katie Gwin, Clare Gwin, Ellen Gwin, Swan Burrus, Margaret Burrus and Christopher Burrus. The family asks in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Humane Society in Faye's name.
