William Ted Clark, 88, of Vaiden, MS, died on Tuesday, December 14, 2023 at his residence.

Ted was born August 12, 1935 in Carroll County, MS, to the late Sammie and Lamar Clark. He was a farmer in Carroll and Leflore Counties. Later in life he moved to Vaiden from Greenwood to fulfill a dream of operating a cattle farm. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jane Hammons, Sara Sellers, and Ercile Wigley; and brother, James Ed Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Montgomery Clark; son, Dan Clark; daughter, Lesa Fletcher (Doug); sister, Polly Carver (Kenny); brother, Carl Clark (Sue); grandchildren, Justin McClain (Jill), Baily Fletcher, Rachel Estey (Cameron), Kathleen Hart (Wilson); and great grandchildren, Millie McClain, Katy Estey, and Cayce Estey.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 9:30 AM till 11:00 AM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home with Rev. David Westmoreland and Rev. Leon Holly officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Pisgah Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mark Clark, Scott Acey, Terry Whitfield, Erby Montgomery, Mike Montgomery, and Ricky Sellers.
