Services for William Denton Curtis will be held Tuesday, August 09, 2016 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Mr. Curtis, age 81, died on Saturday, August 06, 2016 at Indywood Glen.

He was born on April 06, 1935 in Montogmery County, MS to William and Alva Jones Curtis Sr. and resided in Greenwood since 1964. He was a devoted husband of 59 years to Shirley Chambley Curtis . Mr. Curtis was a Mississippi State University graduate, and was an US Army veteran. He retired from Shippers Express after 25 years of service.

He is survived by his Wife, Shirley Chambley Curtis of Greenwood, MS; Daughter, Lisa Curtis (Steven) Cookston of Greenwood, MS; Brother, Alben Benton Curtis of Atlanta, GA; Sister, Carolyn Curtis Greenlee of Winona, MS, and two Grandchildren, Lucy Cookston, and Cavitt Cookston.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 09, 2016 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev Sam Riddell will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be David Pollard, Cavitt Cookston, Jerry Greenlee, Trevor Greenlee, Ricky Greenlee, John Adams Greenlee, and Andy O'Bryan. Honorary Pallbearer will be Johnny Greenlee and David O'Bryan . Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona on Tuesday, August, 9, 2016 at 2:00Pm.
