William Kirby Turner, Jr., 89 of Grenada, MS, died June 8, 2025 at Providence Assisted Living. Services will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 2:30 PM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until service time at the funeral home. Rev. Howard Green will officiate the services.

Mr. Turner was born July 5, 1935 to the late William Turner, Sr. and Evelyn Carolyn Sayle Turner in Blackhawk, MS. He retired from the Houston Post of Texas as a typesetter and proofreader after 40 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Blackhawk. William was very active as a Shriner and did many activities to help the Shriners Children's Hospital while he lived in Houston, Texas. When he retired, he moved to Grenada and lived with his sister and mother. He had lived at Providence Assisted Living for the past five years. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Miss Mamie Brewer Turner.

He is survived by sixteen first cousins, thirty- five second cousins, too many to count third   cousins, a few fourth cousins, and two fifth cousins.

Pallbearers will be John Wayne Elmore, Nickie Strickland, Hal Johnson, Billy Sayle, and Will Vernon. Honorary pallbearers will be all his cousins.  Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
