Winn David Hedleston IV , 73, of Greenwood, MS, died April 16, 2017 at his residence. Private services will be held at a later date. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hedleston was born in Greenville, MS, on January 6, 1944 to the late Eveline E. Hedleston and Winn David Hedleston III. He graduated high school in Kileen, Texas, and went to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Winn served our country in the Navy from 1966-1972 completing two tours in Vietnam, retired as a Deputy Sheriff of Placer County, California, and moved back to the Mississippi Delta. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Hedleston of Greenwood, MS; son, Shawn Hedleston of Dixon, CA; and brother, Carl Hedleston of Charlotte, SC.
