Funeral services for Zula "Rita" Showah Joseph who entered Eternity Tuesday, September 6, 2016 will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Friday, September 9 with Visitation from 9-11 followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. Mrs. Joseph was born in Greenville, MS on April 23, 1927 to Joe and Mary Simone Showah. She moved to Greenwood when she married George Joseph, Sr., her beloved husband with whom she spent 56 years prior to his death.
Mrs. Joseph worked at Supreme Electronics for 14 years and later worked for 46 years with her husband at their business Joseph's TV and Hardware. She was a lifelong communicant at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Mrs. Joseph was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, George Joseph, Jr. and his wife, Mary Mitchell Joseph, a granddaughter, Brooke Lott (Scott) Reeves of Brandon, MS, two grandchildren, Mackenzie Lott and Mitchell Lott, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as a mother for years after their parents' passing.
Reverend Theodore Dorcey, C.Ss.R. will preside at the Funeral Mass. Pallbearers are Nick Joseph, Jr., Joe McKay, Justin Nicholson, Jason Neal, Jerry Pinkston, and Joe Showah. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Henry Flautt, and his Staff. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge of the services with burial at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
