Bert Austin

President

Bert was born and raised in Greenwood, graduating from Pillow Academy third in his Class of 1995. He served as senior class vice-president and was selected as an all-state all-star in football as a lineman.

He graduated from Millsaps College and was president of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He entered the workforce with Union Planters Bank in Nashville, Tennessee, becoming a loan officer and subsequently working for Regions Bank, SunTrust Bank, and helping open Avenue Bank. While in Nashville, he served as president of Dismas, Inc., a transitional housing non-profit, and currently serves as treasurer of the Nashville City Cemetery Association, formed in 1822.

Bert spends the majority of his time in Greenwood and is married to the former Wendy Winetrout Kerr of Eugene, Oregon.

Will Gnemi

Funeral Director/Embalmer

Will was born and raised in Greenwood in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. Will followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, James Hankins, and chose to become a funeral director/embalmer. He graduated from Northwest Mississippi Community College on August 1, 2002. Will is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He has been with Wilson and Knight Funeral Home since 2002. Will also serves as the Leflore County Deputy Coroner. Outside of work, Will is very active in his community. He serves as a member of the Greenwood Exchange Club, where he has been named Exchangite of the Year twice (2004 and 2007). Will has also served as the chairman of the Board of Trustees at St. John's United Methodist Church, and he serves on the board of the Greenwood Mississippi Cemetery Association.
